Gibson Dental Designs offers the advantage of laser welding technology. The Herapuls Laser Welder is a high tech welding machine that is powerful, compact and mobile. It allows us to quickly and easily repair breaks, add clasps, eliminate rocking or other damage to fixed bridges and cast partials. It eliminates the need to invest in solder, making it possible to service your repair needs with rapid turnaround time.

The laser focuses a sharp light beam that melts a very small area of the metal. It creates little heat allowing the welder to work very closely to the most complicated and intricate fixed and removable prosthetic components. Because welding can be done only millimeters away from composite or porcelain, bridge connections can be welded without damaging the porcelain. Lower total heat ensures greater accuracy and eliminates distortion. With the Herapuls laser welder our technician can weld right on the master model, increasing productivity and saving time.

The Herapuls Laser Welder can be used for all dental alloys creating weld joints that are 95% as strong as the original alloy. It is appropriate for a wide variety of applications.

After All These Years…
The Flexible Denture

Miracles happen everyday. In the eyes of many the design of a flexible denture is long overdue. Patients have wished for a denture that looks natural and more importantly fits comfortably. The successful fabrication of a "soft" denture would be wonderful news to hundreds of your patients. Gibson Dental Designs is one of the few dental laboratories in the country trained to fabricate the flexible denture.

Impak® PF is the dental product that is the answer to the flexible, or soft, denture. The Flexible Denture will combine the need for traditional hard acrylic to provide a matrix to hold the teeth in place and give stability, and denture flanges fabricated in Impak PF for additional stability while providing comfort. Using Impak PF will allow for the utilization of undercuts, that in the past, could not be considered.

For the dentist, the preparations are familiar. In addition to the operatory requirements for conventional dentures, the impressions should include extension into the retromylohyoid, and all other undercut areas of each arch. These may then be used for mechanical retention.
